SCG were engaged by Building Management and Works (BMW) to undertake a review of the CCTV system at the Wanneroo Police Station.

The review provided BMW and WAPOL with an understanding of the current CCTV system at the Station focusing on three key areas, which included:

  • Technical Review of the installed systems from an obsolesces and equipment life cycle perspective
  • Performance Review to assess the operation of the system and quality of the existing camera views. This would include assessment of general system operation (i.e. history and fault logs) and review of the image quality and performance of the existing camera views (i.e. camera by camera commentary)
  • Coverage Review to assess the extent of the existing CCTV camera coverage for compliance with the current WAPOL Building Code.

SCG has been engaged to undertake the Security Strategy and Concept Design at H.M. Dhurringile Minimum Security Prison.

This followed on from recent work SCG undertook to assess the condition and performance of the security technology.  SCG reviewed and assessed the facility from a holistic perspective associated with the current conditions.  It also included the review and commentary on whether the current security systems and strategies are commensurate with the identified risk, the operational requirements and DJR Minimum Standards.

SCG then provided recommendations, including treatments, controls and an initial concept design in order for the Centre to address any aspects of concerns noted and to elevate the desired standards for the Centre.

Dame Phyllis Frost Centre

2017-03-06T01:55:38+10:00

SCG has been appointed as part of the Co-Op Studio team to provide the security and communications services for the Gatehouse and Infrastructure Project at the Dame Phyllis Frost Centre.

This project follows our recent appointment to provide these services for the Mental Health and Cellular Accommodation Project also at the DPFC as a part of another project team.

The existing Gatehouse at DPFC has become inefficient and outdated in its design and functionality, with a key aim of the project to deliver a new Gatehouse building as part of re-configured entry precinct, which will facilitate the current methods of operation used by Corrections Victoria.

In addition, the project will deliver a range of supporting infrastructure to cater for the expansion of the Centre, including:

  • Upgrades to the kitchen
  • A new building for laundry and food preparation industries
  • Modifications to the health centre
  • Modifications to prisoner property
  • The addition of two portable industries buildings
  • A site sewer drainage and capacity investigation
