SCG team members undertook the SCEC security design consultant role for the upgrade and extension of the existing Military Working Dog facility at Holsworthy Barracks.

The new facilities included physical hardening of the existing facility and internal spaces to meet the requirements of the PSPF for Zone 2 areas as well as an extension of the existing site-wide Electronic Access Control System (EACS) to the building.

SCG team members provided advice in relation to the physical security hardening to the architectural team and documentation of the electronic security works.

HMAS Watson Fire Safety & Building Upgrade

SCG was appointed to undertake the SCEC security design works for the upgrade to the Systems Training School and Bridge Simulator buildings located at HMAS Watson, to meet the requirements for a PSPF compliant Zone 4 area.

This included hardening of the existing building structure, perimeter and internal walls and replacement of existing and provision of new compliant entry and fire doors.

The existing site-wide Electronic Access Control System (EACS) was extended to cover both new and existing doors in the buildings with the existing Type 1 Security Alarm System (SAS) upgraded in the Systems Training School building with a new Type 1 SAS provided to the Bridge Simulator building.

SCG provided design and documentation detailing both the physical security hardening and electronic security works as well as providing certification of the installed Type 1 SAS.

DSTO Fisherman’s Bend

SCG was engaged to undertake the SCEC security design works for the upgrade of the existing classified Experimentation Lab located in Building 53 of the DSTO Fisherman’s Bend facility, to the meet the PSPF requirements for a Zone 4 area. This would include physical hardening of the room and building perimeter, extension of the existing site-wide Electronic Access Control System (EACS) to the Lab and provision of a new Type 1A Security Alarm System (SAS) and associated monitoring.

SCG provided advice in relation to the hardening of the physical security to the architectural team, documented the electronic security works required and provided certification of the installed Type 1A SAS.

RAAF Williamtown Duckhole Hill

SCEC team members undertook the SCEC security design consultant role for the upgrade of existing buildings to provide secured office and communications rooms spaces at Duckhole Hill located at RAAF Williamtown.

The new facilities included physical hardening of existing buildings to meet the requirements of the PSPF for Zone 2 areas as well as extension of the existing site-wide Electronic Access Control System (EACS) to the buildings as well as to the security vehicular gate located at the entrance to Duckhole Hill.

SCG team members provided advice in relation to the physical security hardening to the architectural team and documentation and testing of the electronic security works.
