TECHNOLOGY REVIEW 

SCG was engaged by Brookfield Office Properties to review the CCTV and Access Control systems installed at:

• Bishop See, 235 St Georges Terrace Perth
• Ernst & Young, 11 Mounts Bay Road Perth
• South32 Tower, 108 St Georges Terrace

The overall objective of our review was to conduct a high level assessment of the Access Control and CCTV technology installed at each of the three buildings and review the options for upgrade or replacement of the existing security systems with a view to providing a common platform or overlayed 3rd party software that would facilitate the inter-connectivity to the 24 hour control room located at Brookfield Place Tower 1.

CCTV & ACCESS CONTROL SYSTEM REVIEW – TOWER 2

SCG was engaged to conduct a detailed review of the recently installed Access Control and CCTV Systems at Brookfield Place Tower 2 – “Deloitte Tower” in the Perth CBD.

SCG provided a detailed report on the installation compliance and deviation from the project specification and included additional advice regarding the expected standard of workmanship and product selection expected for Premium Grade Office Accommodation.

Nusajaya is the largest private sector-initiated development in South East Asia.

Upon completion, the project will be Asia’s foremost fully integrated city with a world-class environment for business, living, and leisure. SCG team members delivered the Security Master Plan and an operational model for the ongoing management of security. SCG team members also developed CPTED standards to be incorporated into every development approved.

Nusajaya comprises seven master developments – the Johor State New Administrative Centre (JSNAC), the Southern Industrial and Logistics Clusters (SiLC), Puteri Harbour Waterfront Development, EduCity, Medical Hub, International Destination Resort and Nusajaya Residences, all within a city that sets the benchmark for integrated developments across the globe.

With a land area spanning 24,000 acres, it has been designed to preserve the lush greenery and natural habitat within the area. Its strategic location, sophisticated infrastructure, and attractive investment incentives are bound to propel it to become a model city for the 21st century. Nusajaya was awarded the prestigious and globally acclaimed Fiabci Prix D’excellence awards 2012 for best master plan category.

In addition to the security planning services, SCG team members completed the design and documentation of the security and communications systems, leading to the award of the security contract within 5 months from initial engagement.

SCG team members also undertook the security risk assessment and security concept planning for the largest retail facility in the world by gross area.

Located adjacent to the world’s tallest skyscraper – The Burj Dubai, The Dubai Mall comprises a hypermarket, furniture mall, 21-screen cinema complex, an ice skating rink, a fine foods market, an area dedicated to haute couture fashion retailers and the Gold Souk consisting of hundreds of stalls dedicated to selling gold and gold jewellery.

The Dubai Mall also houses the world’s largest aquarium at the centre of the mall with viewing travelators.

The Burj Khalifa (formally Burj Dubai) is the tallest free-standing structure on Earth and includes:

• Highest outdoor observation deck
• The elevator with the longest travel distance
• The tallest service elevator The tower is the centrepiece of the Burj Dubai Old Town precinct, a large scale mixed use development undertaken by Emaar Properties
